Learn the details of proper setup, predive checks, dive planning, failure and problem management, and teamwork for CCR diving.<\/p>\n<p>The future of deep tec diving belongs to the CCR (closed circuit rebreather) and the Tec 40 CCR course is where it all starts. If you&#8217;re interested in technical diving and want to dive a rebreather, the Tec 40 CCR course is your entry into the tec diving realm. This first level of training introduces you to Type T CCRs, which can be electronic CCRs (eCCRs) and manual CCRs (mCCRs). During the course, you focus on developing the discipline it takes to be a technical diver while learning the details of proper setup, predive checks, dive planning, failure and problem management, and teamwork for CCR diving.<\/p>\n<p>To take a Tec 40 CCR Diver course, you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/advanced-open-water\/p\/60463-1B2C\/\">PADI Advanced Open Water Diver<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Be a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/enriched-air-diver\/p\/60468-1B2C\/\">PADI Enriched Air Diver<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Be a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/deep-diver\/p\/60476-1B2C\/\">PADI Deep Diver<\/a>\u00a0or show proof of 10 dives to 30 metres\/100 feet<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum of 30 logged dives, with at least 10 dives using EANx deeper than 18 metres\/60 feet<\/li>\n<li>Be at least 18 years old<\/li>\n<li>Before Training Dive 5, be certified as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/rescue-diver\/p\/60464-1B2C\/\">PADI Rescue Diver<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Before certification, have at least 50 logged dives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that qualifying certifications from other diver training organizations may apply &#8211; ask your Tec 40 CCR Instructor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\" block md:block lg:block\">\n<div id=\"getting-started\" class=\"bg-white text-left  py-24 sm:py-32\">\n<div class=\"mx-auto max-w-7xl px-24 lg:px-32\">\n<div class=\"mx-auto max-w-2xl lg:mx-0\">\n<p class=\"text-base font-semibold leading-7 text-padi-blue-darker\">\n<h3 class=\"mt-2 font-bold tracking-tight text-gray-900 text-3xl lg:text-4xl\">Getting Started<\/h3>\n<div class=\"mt-6 text-lg leading-8 text-gray-600\">\n<div class=\"prose max-w-full\">\n<div>\n<p>Get the PADI Tec 40 CCR Diver Manual on DVD from your local\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.padi.com\/dive-shops\/nearby\/\">PADI Dive Shop<\/a>\u00a0that offers PADI TecRec courses and start reading. You&#8217;ll also get a TecRec Type T CCR Predive Checklist Slate. When you know what CCR model you&#8217;ll use for training, you can also start studying the manufacturer&#8217;s literature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"mt-20 text-3xl font-bold tracking-tight\">Academic<\/h4>\n<div class=\"mt-20 text-base font-bold tracking-tight\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"prose mt-6 text-base leading-8\">\n<div>\n<p>You&#8217;ll learn to make no stop or limited decompression dives using a Type T CCR to a maximum depth of 40 metres\/130 feet during eight training dives.
