Sidemount is an increasingly popular way to configure multiple cylinders for technical diving. You can enter the world of tec diving with the Tec Sidemount Diver course and apply what you learn to other TecRec courses. Your instructor may offer to integrate this course with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/ns\/courses\/tec-40-and-tec-40-trimix\/p\/tec-40-and-tec-40-trimix\/\">Tec 40<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/ns\/courses\/tec-45-and-tec-45-trimix\/p\/tec-45-and-tec-45-trimix\/\">Tec 45<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/ns\/courses\/tec-50-and-tec-50-trimix\/p\/tec-50-and-tec-50-trimix\/\">Tec 50<\/a>\u00a0courses.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/advanced-open-water\/p\/60463-1B2C\/\">PADI Advanced Open Water Diver<\/a>, at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 30 logged dives, you qualify to enroll in a Tec Sidemount Diver course. It&#8217;s recommended that you also have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/store.padi.com\/enriched-air-diver\/p\/60468-1B2C\/\">PADI Enriched Air Diver<\/a>\u00a0certification.<\/p>\n<p>Note that qualifying certifications from other diver training organizations may apply &#8211; ask your Tec Sidemount Instructor.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"mt-2 font-bold tracking-tight text-gray-900 text-3xl lg:text-4xl\">Getting Started<\/h3>\n<div class=\"mt-6 text-lg leading-8 text-gray-600\">\n<div class=\"prose max-w-full\">\n<div>\n<p>Get the PADI Sidemount Diver and Tec Sidemount Diver Manual from your dive center and start studying immediately.
